2018 Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid: Specs, Review, Price

When Porsche Company has made its very first SUV and after that equipped it with a hybrid powertrain, everybody has been surprised but it was worth it. The 2018 Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid will be powered with the hybrid engine. It will be a combination of a 3.0-liter V-6 supercharged engine and an electric motor. This unit will be able to deliver 416 horses and 435 pound-feet of torque. As well, there will be a lithium-ion battery of 10.8 kWh. The engine will pair with an 8-speed automatic transmission and the all-wheel drive will be standard. The new Cayenne will be able to reach 60 mph in 5.2 seconds while its top speed will be 151 mph. As for the fuel economy, it gets 46 MPGe and 22 mpg combined. Its all-electric range will be around 14 miles.

Design of exterior and interior

Speaking of the exterior, the 2018 Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid will stay unchanged from the 2017 model. It looks elegant and very attractive with its clean and smooth lines. The front end features long hood and it is dominated by the LED headlamps and unique grille design.

Inside, the 2018 Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid will feature spacious, cozy and nicely looking cabin. The cabin will receive nice leather trim and the seats as well will be upholstered in leather/Alcantara. The driver’s seat will be 8-way power while the rear one will be split folding if you need more cargo space. The cabin is able to accommodate five adults comfortably providing excellent head and legroom for all. The dashboard will feature a display with brand’s latest generation infotainment system.

As for the safety, it will come standard with seven airbags, stability control, front and rear parking sensors and ABS. Some of the optional systems will be adaptive cruise control, lane change assist, front collision warning, automatic braking and a 360-degree camera.

Furthermore, the top trim Platinum Edition will include satellite radio, Bluetooth, dual-zone climate control, Bose surround sound system with speakers, a power tailgate, rain-sensing wipers and so on. As well, the Company will offer several packages such as Premium, Premium Plus and Sport.

Release date and price

The 2018 Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid should appear sometime during next year, most likely in late 2018. As for the price, it should start at around $79,000. However, the starting price of the Platinum Edition should be $81,600.
