2018 Honda Clarity Plug-in Hybrid: Release Date, Specs

The Chevrolet Volt might get its main key competitor on the market with the upcoming 2018 Honda Clarity Plug-in Hybrid. The Clarity model is the brand’s first and only vehicle so far to be offered in the fuel-cell, all-electric and plug-in hybrid versions. As to say, the Honda is perhaps the first car maker which has released all these versions in one electric model. This mid-size sedan has been presented at the New York Show and impressed us all with its excellent efficiency and all-electric range. As the matter of fact, the new Clarity PHEV will offer even better range than expected.

Visually, the new Honda PHEV will be very similar to the outgoing EV and FC models but naturally it will feature some unique design details in order to distinguish from the rest of the models in lineup. The safety will be in the top of the class and we can expect many standard modern technologies.

Its main rivals will be Chevy Volt and Toyota Prius Prime and BMW i3.
