The current Honda Fit is in its third generation and we must admit that it is one of the best in the subcompact class. However, according to some rumors, the Honda Company will not give it just some visual changes and upgrades inside the cabin; but it is also expected to offer it with a hybrid engine too. The Honda Fit will offer functional and sufficiently spacious interior which will now feature a few upgrades. The exterior will also be redesigned and will feature more eye-catching appearance. The will be available in several trims as before but for the 2018 model year, it should also arrive with the new Sport trim. This version will get some changes inside the cabin such as new interior trim with orange stitching and upgraded infotainment.

If the rumors are to be believed, the 2018 Honda Fit Hybrid should arrive with a hybrid engine for the first time. Unfortunately, there isn’t any specific information about the performance and the types of the engine combined with an electric motor. Perhaps it could be the same unit which powers the standard model which is a 1.5-liter inline-4 with direct injection. This engine is able to develop 130 horsepower and 114 pound-feet of torque. It pairs with the standard six-speed manual transmission. However, a continuously variable transmission will be available as well. ]
As for the fuel economy, with a 6-speed manual, it gets 29/36/31 mpg. However, with a CVT, it is rated at 33/40/36 mpg in the city/highway/combined drive.
Design of exterior and interior
The Fit features attractive body and a silhouette of a small minivan. The 2018 Honda Fit Hybrid is going to be refreshed this time and we will notice changes on front and rear fascias. On the front, there will be two-piece grille with black and chrome accents and slightly refreshed headlamps. The rear end will feature some small upgrades too with restyled large taillights and a new bumper. The new Honda will ride on standard 15-inch wheels while the larger 16-inch ones will be available as well. The palette of the exterior colors has been expanded with two new colors: yellow and orange.
When it comes to the interior, the 2018 Honda Fit Hybrid won’t change much compared to the current model. However, the new Honda will get upgraded 7.0-inch display with latest infotainment system on the higher trims. It will be sufficiently spacious and comfortable; the rear seats can be folded down if you need more cargo space.
As for the equipment, the standard features will include a 5.0-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, USB, keyless entry, air conditioning, a rearview camera, cruise control and AM/FM audio system. The higher trims will add navigation, a sunroof, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and so on.
Release date and price
The standard version of this model is already on the market, but the information about the arrival of the new 2018 Honda Fit Hybrid is still unavailable. Its price starts at around $16,200 while the price of the hybrid will surely be higher.
