2019 Lincoln Navigator Hybrid: Interior, Equipment, Review

The Ford has announced that they will electrify 13 vehicles in the next couple of years. The hybrid versions of the F-150 and Mustang should arrive by the year of 2020 but before that, the manufacturer will release three more hybrids. So, in 2019 we can expect to see the hybrid versions of the Expedition and Escape model so as the Lincoln Navigator. This time, we will review the upcoming 2019 Lincoln Navigator Hybrid.

The 2019 Lincoln Navigator Hybrid will inherit the design and equipment of the 2018 model year which has been mildly refreshed. It has gotten revised grille and headlamps and it is much lighter than before, for roughly 200 pounds. The equipment has also been upgraded with advanced tech features. The cabin will remain ample and a pleasant and cozy place for all the passengers.

However, the 2019 model year will bring some major news which is a hybrid powertrain. But the standard version will continue to be available with a strong V-6 engine. As well, the Navigator will be offered in four trim levels which include Premiere, Select, Reserve, and Black Label. Furthermore, there will be two body styles, the standard and the slightly longer version, the L Navigator.

The upcoming 2019 Lincoln Navigator will finally feature the hybrid engine under its hood. Unfortunately, any specific details such as performance are still not available. Perhaps it could use the same engine which powers the standard version combined with an electric motor.

On the other hand, the standard Navigator will use the same 3.5-liter V-6 twin turbo engine. This unit will have the output of 450 horses and 510 pound-feet of torque. It will be mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission and there will be a choice between a rear-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations. Estimated fuel economy is rated at 19 mpg combined with rear-wheel drive while with all-wheel drive it gets 18 mpg combined. Its maximum towing capacity will be up to 8,700 pounds.

Exterior and interior design

The exterior design of the upcoming 2019 Lincoln Navigator Hybrid will be characterized by its familiar boxy and muscular appearance. The front end is dominated by the massive grille with LED Lincoln insignia in the middle and large headlamps with dual LED lighting. On the rear, there will be full-width LED lighting and prominent Lincoln sign written in letters.

Inside the cabin, the 2019 Lincoln Navigator Hybrid will have three rows of seats and will be able to accommodate up to eight passengers. The third row can be folded down which will provide the cargo space of 120.2 cubic feet. On the center of the dash, there will be a large 10.0-inch touchscreen. It will feature Ford’s Sync3 infotainment system and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.

As for the equipment, it will come standard with power features, navigation, automatic climate control, 20-inch wheels, leather upholstery, keyless ignition, a power liftgate and so on. The higher trims will add 22-inch wheels, cooled front seats, a rear-view entertainment system, Revel audio with 20 speakers etc.

Release date and price

The 2019 Lincoln Navigator Hybrid should arrive in late 2018 or at the beginning of 2019. The pricing is not available at the moment.
